NEW YEAR, NEW EVERYTHING? OR NOT!

As the year unfolds, knowing what happened to you in the past year would guide your decisions this New Year. Some folks have no idea what just happened to them the past year.
Take me for example, I have a great job taking care of the sick and also taking care of my little one. No serious mishaps had I in the past year. Many people out there cannot speak to the same experience like mine. Why? It is so simple. Different individuals, you can say, bad choices another would reason and just pure bad luck yet another would say.
We cannot determine what actually works for us unless we give something a try. Taking a look at the past years events and identifying the issues that affect one’s life would be a great place to start this year. Then you can try this:
SET A GOAL
Goal setting should be done with great planning and choose carefully your most important issues you want to work on. Leave the crowd and distinguish your personal needs from wants. Because your coworkers are joining a weight loss program does not mean it should be your priority when you have issues to straighten out in the job to save you from termination. Your goals should always have a timeline.
STAY POSITIVE
Getting to work on the set goals is ever challenging. As you set out on carrying out your plans, remain positive that you can achieve them. Keep close ears to distractions and their agents. This could be friends or family. You have to identify detractors and block out if possible.
KEEP A LOG OR JOURNAL
Record keeping cannot be ruled out. Either personally keep a diary to guide you activities or send yourself texts or emails on your activities and progress.
RE-EVALUATE YOUR ACHIEVEMENT
Your success can be seen when you notice a change or people commend your improvement or better still you experience better results or outcome. A good comment is a motivating factor for continuing with the goals and poor result will indicate need for goals review.
REVIEW YOUR GOAL
Take a look at the goal and stick to activities that increased your outcome and drop the rest.
Have fun and then start all over again.

Welcome

There is a possibility that some comments will be appreciated by some, disregarded by others and even ignite hatred in some. Somehow that is the way the world runs today. You are entitled to your opinion.

This blog will provide different views of a nurse at work and play. Her life on the job and after work hours. I am just excited to share some of my thoughts with the world. As every individual differs in their sizes, so does the mind set also differs. You may love or hate what I have to say here but it does give me some relief to lay it out there in the open.
